Yorktown Day
Yorktown Day is the observance of the last battle of the Revolutionary War, or at least the surrender of the British forces for those that don't agree that it was the last battle. The festivities are held on October 19th, and include a parade, reenactments, speakers from various historical organizations, and grave markings.
The 2009 Yorktown Day celebration was a success this year with numerous SAR representatives from around the country as well as various organizations including SAR, DAR, C.A.R, and The Order of the Founders and Patriots. Many of these organizations are regulars at the Yorktown day celebration.
